| Why? | This is a PROPOSED stance. Not yet approved The violation of a child is something that really is punished lightly under current law. A maximum 20 year sentence does is not enough for the amount of suffering the victim is put through in the short term and for the rest of their life. The maximum penalty should be increased for the protection of Maryland's children. |
